marui theme // code // ko-fi
live version here
i first drafted this theme back in 2016 and totally abandoned it for some reason? well, it’s time this baby SHINES. inspired by really tiny pixel UIs and the shinonome marumoji font, which is used in this layout!
this theme has a “pop up” feature for your custom links that displays the page as a 500px wide in-browser pop-up with HTML support. you can add text formatting, images, anything that you usually can put on a custom tumblr page, but you might have to escape the characters if it’s not displaying properly.
features:
- 250/400/500px posts
- 2 custom links, optional “pop up” feature when clicked on
- 2 custom name fields in sidebar
- tooltips on hover
- fully customizable colours
- custom sidebar image and tiling background
- custom favicon and optional custom cursor
tell me if you find anything broken or have suggestions!

imagining an alternate timeline where instead of trying to keep wages vaguely commensurate with productivity we adjusted the workweek based on productivity. we’re ostensibly doing 250% more work than they were doing in the 1950s, there’s no reason anyone should be working more than 15 hours a week
if any liberals come in here to tell me that we need to work 40 hours a week so the funko pop corporation can afford a conveyor belt straight from the factory to the landfill, I invite you to eat my balls, cock, ass, and shit
